Bristol Fully Managed IT serviceAllteks support Business West with a fully managed IT service.  Business West is a not-for-profit company with 200 staff and a turnover of £10 million. Based in Bristol, Business West has chambers in Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. 

Before Allteks engagement, Business West’s IT infrastructure consisted of a high availability VMware cluster that was hosted within an external datacentre.


To ensure a smooth transition over to Allteks’ more resilient environment, we designed architecture and a deployment plan with instructions about configuring a Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) based on previous experience with existing clients, including West Midlands GrowthGoldhawks Associates and G.P.S Marine. 


We tailored the SDDC to the individual clients’ requirements of 20 ESXi hosts (80 core, 336GB Ram, 8TB HDD), which provides the ability for future expansion and development. A combination of Veeam and Acronis Cloud backup was intorudced to the environment to provide resilience. 


The data networking infrastructure of the client’s environment was supported with Dell and Unify switches with a 10GB backbone, providing speed and redundancy throughout the solution. Storage is provided by a Dell Storage PS4210 with an HA pair of Dell Networking N2024, and a Dell Storage PS4100 with an HA Pair of Dell Networking N3024 with 10GBE links.


Full-service documentation on the clients’ infrastructure is on hand, for future reference and maintenance requirements. Allteks ensure this documentation is in conjunction with a full training package. Our IT training package incorporates onsite training and ongoing question and answer forum. 


Allteks provide an Account manager to clients to ensure consistent support. The Account Manager develops monthly and quarterly reports through the use of Brightgauge, which identifies any action points that need to be addressed by Allteks Engineers.
