Description:

Allteks is a Managed Service Provider, providing IT services and support to businesses across the UK. We are specialists in Microsoft cloud services, Disaster Recovery, Server Virtualisation, cloud VOIP solutions, Network and Storage Infrastructure, IT Project Management.

We are looking for an experienced 1st or 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our busy IT Support team. You will be based in our Maidstone Office, set in picturesque Turkey Mill, but occasional visits to customer sites will be required. Working hours are 9-5.30 (5 days a week) with an hour for lunch, although some overtime and flexibility is expected. You will report to the Helpdesk Team Leader.

 

Duties will involve:

Logging support calls into our Helpdesk system.

Owning and resolving support tickets.

Providing telephone and remote support.

Escalating issues within timescales.

Visiting customer sites when required.

Backup checks, including diagnosing and fixing issues.

Working on projects as part of a Project Team.

Installation and configuration of new PCs, laptops, servers.

Updating documentation.

Following processes and documentation.

 

Requirements:

Essential Qualities:

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Microsoft Windows 7 – 10 installation and troubleshooting

Microsoft Office Applications installation and configuration

General software troubleshooting

General hardware troubleshooting

Basic network configuration and troubleshooting

 

Advantageous Knowledge and Skills:

Installation and support of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and above

Active Directory

Office 365 Support

Virtualisation

Switch, router, and firewall configuration

Full UK Driving License

Recognised IT Qualification
